Know the Gap, the Gap between what your fluids are currently costing you in terms of OEE performance, un-managed HS&E risk and excessive fluid and waste costs.

Gap Analysis Audit /

Most companies are spending far more on fluids than necessary and are living with serious fluid related issues that are quietly eroding the plants profitability and long-term sustainability. Stop managing price, and start managing cost!

Most companies don’t know the gap

How big is the Gap between what you are currently paying for your fluids, spending on waste, and diluting your management and labor resources vs what you could be paying if a best practices, world-class program was implemented? What are the inefficiencies caused by poor fluid condition or poor fluid choice that are impacting plant productivity, process availability and product quality. How much unmanaged risk is there that leaves your facility vulnerable to incident and/or exposure to legal action. Most companies don’t know the gap. Most companies have built their fluid management programs in house. Most companies do not have an integrated Fluid Use Process (FUP) that works to optimize product selection with usage in the process and then the cost of disposal. Most companies are spending far more on fluids than necessary and are living with serious fluid related issues that are quietly eroding the plants profitability and long-term sustainability.

The Audit Process

The Gap Analysis audit compares your current processes against a set-of best practices to identify where the opportunities for improvement exist. We look at fluid consumption and waste generation rates to develop a fluid balance for the facility. We collect samples from your active sumps to determine how well the facility is doing at sticking to its control plan. We develop a fluid and waste balance based on current practices to see what’s driving consumption and what fluid related issues exist based on actual samples collected.

Once we compile all that information, we present a report card to your senior management team, that scores all the areas to be considered and then lays out a step by step plan to drive improvement and cost reduction.

If we discover that the gap is very small between what the facility is doing currently vs. best practices, we will report that too, and you will have the knowledge and comfort to know that your plant is not exposing you to unmanaged risk or costing you unnecessary expense.
